Click image to enlarge Victorian Style Rabbit Pull Toy Primitive Victorian Style Rabbit Pull Toy This cute old-fashioned pull toy rabbit is approximately 10 ½ inches long and approximately 8 inches tall including his ears. I him made out of muslin and painted him in several layers, sanding between each layer, topped off with stain to obtain that vintage primitive look. He has a very leather like feel to him. He is painted in shades of brown, with fleshy pink on his ears and nose. His undersides, tail and some highlighted areas such as around his eyes are antique white. His wheels and axels are made of wood stained and are stained walnut brown. The pull string is made of braided hemp and has a wooden bead on the end. It measures approximately 24” long. I did some needle sculpting to shape his face. This little fellow is very much like the old fashioned pull toys of days gone by. Price:$ 43.00 Big-Eyed Annie and Baby BIG_EYED ANNIE AND BABY ANNIE Primitive Doll: Raggedy Ann style with Baby. Big Eyed Raggedy Ann and her precious little one. These Raggedy Ann Style dolls are made from my own patterns The larger doll is approximately 14 inches long; the baby is approximately 7 inches long. They are both made of muslin then painted in many layers, sanding between each layer and then stained. The results of this method are that the doll has feel that is leather like and the look of a vintage or antique toy from yester year. Their facial features, stockings and shoes are painted on. They are both button jointed at the shoulders and the hips. Both dolls have bent legs so that they set nicely in a chair or on a shelf edge. Big Annies arms are bent in a perfect position to hold her little Annie securely. Their rusty colored hair is lil loopie yarn that has been lightly glued and stitched to their little heads and done up in puppy tails, tied with strips of cotton material that match their dresses. They are both wearing short dresses and bloomers. The clothing has been sanded, patched and stained with coffee to give it a timeworn look. Big Annies bodice and sleeve cuffs are a cotton rosebud print, the sleeves and skirt of the dress is made of a cotton material that is green with small white dots. The baby’s dress bodice is the green dotted material the sleeves and skirt of the dress is made with the cotton rosebud print. The babys sleeves are gathered with pink embroidery thread. The dresses are closed in the back with aged brass safety pins. Both of these dolls are signed and dated. Price:$ 45.00 Mabel - An Old Fashioned Doll MABEL : Mabel is a pet doll, like the old pet china dolls that were popular in the late 1800s; she has her name written across the front. She is approximately 22 inches tall. She is stuffed with clean, sawdust. She is made of muslin, her head lower arms and lower legs have been painted in several layers and sanded between each layer, then stained to give her an antique appearance. Her muslin body has been splashed with tea stain to give her an aged appearance. She has a boxed bottom to help her set up properly. Her hair is painted on and is black. Mabel is wearing a dress and bloomers made of unbleached cotton that has been stained with tea, sanded and patched. The dress is trimmed with olive green cotton lace at the neckline and has an antique cut pearl button on the bodice front. It closes in the back with 3 antique pearl shell buttons. Her stockings and boots are painted on. Her eyes are brown, her lips are red and her cheeks are blushed. Mabel truly looks as if she is a plaything from the past. She is an original - made from my own patterns. Each of my dolls are made individually,and are hand painted therefore there are no 2 alike. Price:$ 40.00 America - A Primitive Pet Doll America - An old fashioned patriotic primitive pet doll. America is approximately 22 inches tall. She is my own design, a one of a kind girl. I used my own original patterns to make her. America is one of a series of my pet dolls. Inspired by the pet china dolls of the late 1800s who have their names written on them. She is made of muslin and stuffed with fiberfill. Americas head, lower arms and lower legs have been painted in layers, sanded between each layer and given a final coat of stain. This process gives the head and limbs an aged – antique appearance, and makes them feel very much like leather. Americas muslin body has been splashed with tea to give it an aged appearance. She is wearing pantaloons that are made of muslin. Her dress is made of cotton fabric that has a patriotic stars and stripes theme. Sanding it soft and thin, patching, and dying it with tea have given her clothing a very aged look. She may have thin spots and a small hole here and there in her clothing. America has blue painted eyes, black hair, red lips and blushed cheeks. Her stockings are painted an antique off-white color with blue ribbon bows painted at the tops of them. She has been signed and dated on the back. This girl looks as though she has been around for ages, fought some fierce battles and survived. She is a wonderful persona of our country.
