I'm proud of my little Shoppe in the Olde Primitive Sisters Marketplace! I'm happy to be here, and delighted to see you here, too! I live in the Ozark foothills of the beautiful State of Arkansas and gather much inspiration from my surroundings! I am glad to offer my One-of-a-Kind collection of grunged and sometimes extremely UGLY primitive dolls, gatherings, ornies and get-by make dos. Additionally I will offer aged and scented early settler, foothills primitive style sawdust pillows.......just like Grandma made!

Liberty Ann~Star Ornie Doll~
|
"Liberty Ann", a/k/a "Libby Ann" is my contribution to our OldePrimitiveSisters MarketPlace "STARS & STRIPES" Challenge for May, 2008. Libby is made from muslin, cut in the shape of a 10.75 inch X 10.25 inch star!
She has been stained with coffee, vanilla, and a sprinkling of walnut crystals. She has been baked and sanded, painted, stained and baked again, and sanded once more!!! She has the look and feel of an old time ornie straight from the attic of your Grandmother.
Libby Ann is wearing a patriotic red, white, and blue outfit which has been painted on and sanded well. Her grubby lace trim is from my vintage stash and securely hand stitched in place.
Her happy face is primitively stitched with red floss and her little lips are made with acrylic.
Libby Ann has that beautiful traditional Raggedy Ann red yarn hair which is knotted and sewn in place.
I added a durable thread hanging loop for easy display! She will be a great addition to any primitive folk art or Raggedy doll collection.
NOTE: All my creations are truly One-of-a-Kind and Liberty Ann will never be exactly duplicated.

"Nosh" is a fun little Folk Art creation which I think you will truly love. He is made from my own design, cut from muslin...then coffee, vanilla, and walnut crystal stained. I baked him dry, sanded him...and painted him with an acrylic mix of black and coffee bean brown. He has been sanded several times to give him that well worn, much loved look!
"Nosh" measures approximately 16.5 inches from the tip of his ears to the tip of his hind paws! He sports the image of well gnawed fish remains on his tummy and has a twinkle in his bright green eyes!
His brows, nose, mouth and whiskers are floss stitched with his mischievous eyes being a mix of artists pencils and acrylics. His curled up tail is sewn securely in place with durable crochet thread.
Nosh will be a great addition to your folk art collection OR would make the purrrr-fect gift for your feline loving friend. He will come to you signed and year dated.

Patchwork~Sawdust PinKeep MakeDo
|
Lovingly grunged and primitively stitched, this One-of-a-Kind sawdust filled pinkeep will surely be a treasured favorite. You will find it to be the perfect KEEPING PLACE for your pins and things!
Its made from a pillow ticking patchwork print with roses and checks! Coffee, vanilla, & cinnamon were used in the "aging" process. You will find a raggedy muslin strip with FLORA primitively stitched thereon. There is also a rusty pin, a rusty key, and a display of drieds from the garden.
NOTE: The flowers have been dried and preserved and sprinkled with ground cinnamon!! They may be removed with a snip or two of your scissors!
From the arch of the heart to its tip, there is a measurement of 9 1/4 inches. Across, at the widest span, is a measurement of approximately 8 3/4 inches.
ONLY one is available...its OOAK!

Sack O Cats....Set of four (4) primitively "aged" Calico Cats.
They are made from calico prints...four different colors (wheat, maple, light cocoa, and a multi honey gold and cinnamon). They are grunged to prim perfection with my special mix of coffee, walnut crystals, vanilla, and a hint of spice!
They have been sanded over and again for a well worn, much loved appearance....there are, intentionally placed, small wear holes here and there! You will find little rusty safety pins accenting the worn areas!
These little calico cats are peeping from their nest in an altered brown paper bag! The nest is made from natural basket shred and the bag has been altered in size and grunged with my coffee aging mix. They will come with hanging loops, too, for times you prefer to hang them from your cupboard knobs, perhaps!
I have stitched their features with floss and used artists pencils for a hint of cheek and/or eye coloring! Their bright eyes are drawn with artists pencils, too!
A matte sealant was used to keep the eyes and highlights from rubbing away!
On the back side...you will see their names stamped on strips of "aged" muslin. Tom, Kitty, Pur-cy and Cali are just waiting for a new home...... They will come to you signed and dated and well packaged in their little sack nest!
Take a closer look....dont you just love those sweet faces?!?
